This is a great hotel choice especially if you are visiting Northeastern or other schools / sites in that area of Boston. The location is very convenient and the room was clean and comfortable. The servicing by the front desk was excellent and so was the free shuttle service to Quincy Market (drop- offs and pick-ups are provided on the hour for several hours). That free shuttle service is a great feature (ask for Sadu, he is the best!) Parking is also available at the hotel. Buffet breakfast was very nice. Nightlife restaurants / bars are limited in the immediate area. There is an amazing Cuban restaurant attached to the hotel. We had a great experience here and we would come back again.

Let me start with the positives....room was very clean, breakfast was average but it was free. Negatives...horrible location surrounded by homeless who are very aggressive and nextdoor to a very busy hospital so all night you get to listen to police sirens dealing with the people on the streets and ambulance sirens bringing people to the hospital (emergency helicopters too!) Which I could actually deal with but the windows are not sound proofed. Just to compare, the last night in Boston, we stayed at the BOS Courtyard by Marriott airport hotel that was soundproofed so while you can see huge jets taking off and landing, you could not hear them. But the Hampton Inn and Suites Boston Crosstown Center obviously doesn't care if their guests get a good night's sleep. The other major negative is the staff simply doesn't care. I called at noon to request a pack and play for my granddaughter that I was babysitting for one of the nights. I was told by the person who answered the phone "just pick one up at the front desk". I asked if I could reserve one as I was getting back late and was nervous that they might run out. She assured me that it would not be an issue. Went to front desk when I got back to hotel that evening and that young lady said there wasn't any AND that none had been available for days. Incredulously I asked why when I called that same day I was given different info, she just shrugged her shoulders and said "yeh have no idea why they keep telling people that". Again to compare to BOS Courtyard by Marriott, when I requested a pack and play, was told not only could I check in early but that the pack and play would be waiting for me IN the room...which it was. I figured for the price the Hampton Inn was charging, it would be a nice hotel...it was a huge disappointment and waste of money. Nicer hotels may charge $35-50 more a night but it would be well worth it.

Super sketchy area, homeless people and a camp across the street. Security guard for the hotel. Our room was fine and clean, bed wasn’t as good as most Hilton. We worried about our car all night thankfully we didn’t have any problems would not stay here again though

The hotel is well run: it is clean, they provide daily maid service without requesting it, have a nice little pool on the top floor, and even the breakfast was acceptable, esp. considering it was free. BUT.... if you have business in the immediate vicinity, or have to stay over because of a friend or loved one being treated @ B U Hospitals, then this is the hotel for you. Know there are no services in the area, to drive to or walk to. My wife and I ran a gauntlet of homeless gathering at the gates of the hotel one evening- and even though I am a city person (we live in the Bronx NY), it was exceptionally unpleasant. You cannot go for a stroll in the immediate vicinity It doesn't feel safe. All Crosstown Center is , is a medical; building with a Cuban Restaurant and this hotel attached. And a parking lot . No more, no less. It was a good money centered value, but it is so far off the beaten path, that it's just not worth being here. Imagine being IN a city but in the middle of NOWHERE. that's an apt description of the location. Would not, unfortunately stay here again, and that's too bad.

Room was quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was not great the eggs were mushy and only offered omelt style lots of cheese. Coffee was strong...s witched to tea. The bar and food was really good. Stayed 1 night before travel
